Guitarist, songwriter and producer Darren Roberts returns to the Acorn with his amazing band for the fourth instalment of what has become a biennial series of Qube Records Fundraising Concerts.

Darren has been performing and releasing music for over 20 years both as a solo artist and in bands including Blank Panda, The Raise and Floorjam. 3 of his 5 solo albums have charted around the world and his most recent album, last year’s “Murmurations”, has been streamed over 300,000 times. He is also known as a producer, working with a host of local legends like The Surgeons, Die Spangle and The Celtic Male Ensemble. His last performance at the Acorn, in 2023, was immortalised on the cryptically titled “Live At The Acorn” album and accompanying film which you can see on YouTube!

In his day job Darren runs Qube Records, the in-house record label of Mounts Bay Academy. 2024 marked 10 years of the project as it passed 1 million worldwide sales, and saw students tour France, do live TV appearances and perform at the Royal Albert Hall!

Expect a set featuring music from across Darren’s 20+ year career with a generous helping of very special Qube Records guests from past and present!

Support comes from Qube alumni Senara Rendell who is following up a busy 2024 which saw her release her comeback EP Zans Meyn with a brand new album for 2025. The lead single from that album, Simple Terms For Disillusioned Girls, is available on all streaming platforms now.
