Join the Group to find out more about Richard Rodda of Sancreed, who escaped death six times before becoming a Wesleyan preacher; miner’s wife and mother of 12 Alice Nekervis, whose story provides rare detail about an ‘ordinary’ life; Charles Ross, now remembered mainly for the Ross Bridge, but in the late 19th century famous – and notorious – for a great deal more; and illustrator Hilda Quick, who apart from producing acclaimed artwork was also a notable violinist.
