Event Description

Born in 2013, Ibou Tall & Jazzmates is an eclectic quintet that showcases the unique “Senjazz” style, also known as “Senegalese Influenced Jazz.” Senjazz ingeniously blends Afro rhythms with jazz harmonies, infusing Ibou’s Senegalese heritage into the captivating rhythms and melodies of Senegal.
Over the past decade, Ibou Tall has performed at numerous festivals across the UK, leaving audiences spellbound by the mesmerising sound of Afro-Senegalese jazz.

Ibou Tall was born in Dakar and is considered among Senegal’s leading jazz composers. Playing in numerous street band projects before joining the singer Alioune Mbaye Nder through the record label Africa Fete as a composer and bandleader.
