Spain, 1937 and international goalkeeper, George Gilbert , finds himself awaiting the firing squad !! How did he get there and how , if at all, does he get out? Recounting tales of daring in order to make his toughest save yet  …his life!

Rob Adams, who has most recently completed a run in the West End show, “Brokeback Mountain” brings his new one man show , “Keeper of the Flame” to The Acorn. Rob has enjoyed a varied performing career, ranging from Film (The Fifth Element, Beg) , Theatre (Brokeback Mountain, The Caretaker, Noises Off) to installation work with Peter Greenaway at The Hayward Gallery. He’s also a co-director, with Michael Mulqueen , of OddBod Theatre Co. “Keeper of the Flame” sees Rob highlighting the links between Politics and Sport, something which can lead to wide discussions, as Gary Linekar knows only too well.
