Penzance’s favourite feel-good band are bringing the sunshine of the tropics back to the Acorn Theatre this December!

Kizamba burst onto the scene in the summer of 2021, brought to life by a group of diverse musicians united by their passion for Latin and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Their one and only mission? To get people dancing!

Now a powerhouse 8-piece Big Band, they have earned a reputation for magnetic performances, electrifying solos and a remarkable ability to connect intimately with every audience. Prepare for a thrilling musical tour of the Caribbean, Latin America and the jazz clubs of New York as they effortlessly genre-hop from Latin jazz to classic reggae, Afro-Cuban salsa to Trinidadian soca, and Colombian cumbia to ska.

With many band members bringing personal connections to the Caribbean – and a multi-lingual lead singer born and raised there – Kizamba brings authenticity to every note. Their joy at playing together is palpable, their energy contagious, and their music is absolutely irresistible.
