Burlesque at its best! Cheeky, saucy and wickedly funny.
We are a small, yet bountiful troupe of Burlesque dancers. We regularly appear in cabaret/vaudeville nights based in Cornwall. Some of these are themed: piratical, ‘Wonderland’, Rocky Horror and Christmas as just a sample. We thrive on creating unusual and exciting costumes with unusual and exciting dance routines to match.
Hailing from the pirate haven of Penzance, this fun, young, pirate-folk band have hung up their cutlasses, exchanged their galleon for a land ship (named Hubert Cumberdale) and taken to a life of music. Formed recently in 2019, JollyRoger are already taking the south-west by storm and gigging port, bow and starboard. In their first few months, JollyRoger got recognised and booked for the likes of, Boardmasters Festival, Mazey Day, Brotherhood of the Black Pirate Festival, Stithians Show, Mid Devon Show & Lands End Family Fun Day Events.
They are described as ‘traditional yet exciting’ and bring together a ‘clever mix of sea shanties and harmonies’. JollyRoger are full of energy, take pride in their live performances and are ‘bound to get your toes tapping’. JollyRoger comprises of the lesser-seen acoustic bass guitar, three-part harmonies, guitar, ukelele, mandolin, harmonica and drums made of barrels and bottles. With a mixture of upbeat folk music, some original pirate material and some good old fashioned sea shanties, there’s something for everyone; they are bound to warm your cockles!
Is a fabulous drag artist with 10 years performing and hosting under her belt. She is based in Cornwall, but travels around both the county and the country wowing audiences with her own unique, inimitable style. Carmen’s comedic act is drawn, not only from her observations of life in general, but also from her personal, humorous and extensive real life experiences. Carmen, by her own admission, is a lipsynch assassin who adds a Cornish Twang to her art!
Please Note: This performance is suitable for adults only.
