Event Description

Inspired by marine fossils and biology, Treasure recalls a distant world of prehistoric sea creatures, fighting for survival in a strange and volatile environment. Treasure questions our curiosity with collecting fossils, keeping these ancient creatures and their stories safe for the future. In looking to the past and these treasures of lives once lived, the work explores our relationships with each other that we collect and keep safe.

Treasure does not shy away from confronting current challenges to marine life and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, when resources and resilience are pushed to the brink. Ultimately though, Treasure is a positive and celebratory work inspired by the beauty and mystery of the sea.
