Event Description

An intimate night of song with Cornwall’s legendary True Foxes. Featuring a solo set from Tom Corneill of Somerset Americana stars Young Martyrs.

True Foxes, an acclaimed Folk/Americana cousin duo, are quickly gaining popularity in the South West and beyond. Amie’s powerful vocals and soulful songwriting has been compared to the likes of Laura Marling and Brandi Carlile, performing on Acoustic Guitar. Together with Chloe’s ethereal harmonies and melodic bass lines, the duo’s storytelling and sisterly banter take the audience on an emotional journey. If you’re a fan of First Aid Kit and The Secret Sisters but with a touch of British influence, you’ll definitely enjoy True Foxes.

And forming in 2020 with the release of their self titled debut album, Young Martyrs have become one of the most respected artists on the UK independent music scene. Breaking out initially as a name in alt-country and Americana space, they’ve grown to make a name for themselves across indie and rock audiences. In the last few years, the band have played festivals across the UK, including Glastonbury, and performed with the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, The Hooziers and McFly. Their first UK headline tour in support of second album ’Time is Not On Our Side’ finished with sellout shows and the band are currently working on their third full length release.
